Fundraising Events
Fundraising events are crucial to the club's success. Puppy raisers do not receive funding from Canine Companions national. Clemson-Canine Companions works to alleviate the cost of puppy raising for college students to make the experience more accessible. Each semester, our club hosts public fundraising event like or 5K Wag and Walk. The money we raise helps support our puppy raiser's in paying for our dogs and training.

Membership
Members of Clemson-Canine Companions are given access to exclusive event sign ups our monthly events. Attending social events are not only fun, but beneficial for our pups. A large part of service animal training is socialization; social events allow puppy raisers to expose their dogs to a controlled, unusual environment.
Puppy Sitting
Our puppy-sitter program was created to account for the challenge of raising a dog amidst classes and extra-circulars. Puppy sitters are trained to take care of our pups in the event that a puppy raiser may need assistance. Participating in the puppy sitting program is also a great way to prepare for puppy raising!
Puppy Raising
Raising a puppy is the most involved role of Clemson-Canine Companions. Each semester, our club is able to select up to 5 new raisers. Potential raisers must live off-campus and have been a puppy-sitter. Applications are reviewed by our executive board and then sent to the Canine Companions national. Canine Companions will require their own application and interview process before placing puppy raisers on a wait list to receive their pup!
Executive Board
Our club is ever evolving and for that reason, we give the president and vice president flexibility in choosing their executive board each year so they can serve the club in the best way possible. Different positions in marketing, fundraising, public relations, and event planning can be utilized depending on the goals of the club for the year. Other positions responsible for puppy raising and coordination also support the executive board.
If you are interested in a position on our executive board, get involved with the club, talk to our President or VP, and look out for applications every spring.
